[Comparison] Intel Core i5-1135G7 vs AMD Ryzen 5 4500U – still not a match for AMD
In today’s comparison, we have the recently released Intel Core i5-1135G7 versus the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U. The Intel Core i5-1135G7 is part of the new Tiger Lake line of processors by Intel while the Ryzen 5 4500U is part of AMD’s Zen 2 family and it also has been released recently.
These CPUs are made for mobile platforms and focus on less power usage, better battery life, and more performance with less space. In this comparison, we will try to see which CPU is better suited for a mobile platform – Intel Core i5-1135G7 or the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U.
You can find more information about both CPUs here: Intel Core i5-1135G7 / AMD Ryzen 5 4500U
Specifications
There are not many notable differences between the two CPUs except in their number of cores and threads. The Intel has 4 cores with 8 threads while the Ryzen has 6 cores and 6 threads. In turn, this means that the Intel should have a better performance in tasks that require multiple cores. For example, video editing, 3D rendering, and photo editing.
