Dell Inspiron 7559 (15-inch, UHD, IPS) display profiles – Quality and Health impact results

Inspiron 15 7000 Series Touch NotebookWe have some new profiles coming your way and this time it’s for the 4K version of the successful Dell Inspiron 7559. This is for the guys that opted for the more expensive UHD model of the laptop but you can still check out our review of the Full HD variant. In the pack below, you will find the usual Health-Guard, Office work / Web design and Gaming / Movie Nights profiles. You can read more about them here and how to use them. We also suggest reading our dedicated article regarding blue light emissions and PWM and how our custom profiles help eliminate both to certain extend.

The Dell Inspiron 7559 has a good IPS panel with a lot of pixels (3840×2160), but since this is a multimedia/gaming laptop, our profiles will be able to fix some of the minor drawbacks that the display has.

Since our profiles are tailored for each individual display model, this article and its respective profile package is meant for Dell Inspiron 7559 with 15.6″ LG Philips LP156UD2 (UHD, 3840 x 2160) IPS and the machine can be found at Amazon.com: Dell Inspiron 7559.

Office Work / Web Design

This profile aims to deliver the most accurate colors possible in the sRGB gamut – the colors used on the Web. That makes it suitable for Office work and, in some cases, for Web Design. Although the display doesn’t offer the needed properties for color-sensitive work, if you want accurate color reproduction, we suggest using this profile. Anyway, we successfully bring the average DeltaE 2000 (color accuracy, lower is better) down from 3.7 to 2.9. Let’s see how that looks in the two graphs below…

Gaming and Movie Nights, Health-Guard

As we already mentioned, the display offers good image quality for general multimedia purposes but our Gaming and Movie Nights profile enhances the user experience just where it’s needed. This profile lets you see more details in the darkest areas (you can see an example here).

Health-Guard profile

As for the Health-Guard profile, it reduces the Blue Light impact and eliminates PWM. But since the panel doesn’t use PWM, this profile will be useful for reducing the negative blue light emissions.

I’ve a Dell 7559 that sports an LGD04D9 (UHD) panel. The profile above is also suitable for my display?
