[Specs and Info] Acer Aspire 3 (A315-59) – nothing spectacular, but it doesn’t need to be

Thanks to Alder Lake, even budget laptops can get some really good performing hardware for a reasonable price. Today we have one such notebook with a portable footprint, despite its 15.6-inch form factor, and three Alder Lake CPUs to choose from, all of which will spare as much of the battery as possible, which is very important, as we see smaller laptops shred batter capacity at large.

Today we are giving you a quick overview of the Acer Aspire 3 (A315-59).

Acer Aspire 3 (A315-59): Full Specs

Design

The laptop should be made from plastic, which is the case with most budget laptops. However, it needs to be at least somewhat durable, which should be the case, considering we have tested Acer’s budget series in the past. While you will experience some bends here and there, generally the laptop will survive most trips inside a backpack. In terms of dimensions, the laptop carries a weight of only 1.79 kg, while having a slightly thicker profile of 19.9 mm.

Display

The display selection consists of a single Full HD IPS panel. Acer keeps details about the display close to the vest, however, we don’t expect much from it, considering the budget nature of the laptop.

Specifications and features

The laptop can offer decently high specs, with up to a Core i7-1255U, which offers 10 cores that can challenge the top of the ULV field from last year, in terms of performance. On the graphics side, you have whatever is integrated into your processor, which can work pretty well, as iGPUs have gotten really good.

The I/O doesn’t feature any Type-C ports, offering three USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, an HDMI connector, a LAN port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
