[Specs and Info] Acer Aspire Vero brings environmental sustainability and performance

Dell has finally found their match when it comes to caring for the environment, as Acer showed off its Aspire Vero, amidst other news that it has joined the RE100 initiative, comprised of the Top 100 most influential businesses in the world. Its goal is to use 100% renewable electricity, which Acer says, it will achieve by 2035.

Now, to go back to the Aspire Vero, it is build using recycled plastics, which looks pretty good, if we have to say. It also has decent performance, so you won’t have to save the earth while sacrificing power.

Today we are giving you a quick overview of the Acer Aspire Vero.

Acer Aspire Vero: Full Specs

Design

The laptop is the first device from Acer’s Earthion platform, which focuses on renewable materials and designs. The laptop is built using 30% Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic for its lid, base, and body. Its keycaps also use up to 50% PCR. The recycled theme goes to the packaging as well, with Acer using up to 85% recycled paper pulp for the box and papers inside. The company also presents a laptop bag to accompany the Vero, which is made using 100% PCR. The laptop has a grayish color, with some white and black specs, which look like paint specks. It also has bright green accents on some of the keys, the bottom feet, and the backside hinges.

Display

The laptop has a single display option. It has a diagonal of 15.6 inches, a Full HD resolution, and uses an IPS panel. Other specs about the display haven’t been revealed, but we wouldn’t hold our breaths for a great screen with wide color coverage or super accurate color reproduction. Still, you should expect comfortable viewing angles, good maximum brightness and contrast ratio.

Specifications and features

Lastly, the specs on this thing are pretty good. You get to pick between two Tiger Lake G-series CPUs, either the Core i5-1135G7 or the Core i7-1165G7. Both processors share the same 4-core / 8-thread layout, with the Intel having the higher base and boost clock speed. The laptops also share the same iGPU, the Iris Xe Graphics G7, with the i7 getting the more powerful version with 96 Execution Units.

In terms of features, the laptop has a fingerprint reader a bottom-firing stereo speaker setup, and a relatively wide I/O, which consists of two USB Type-A ports, one Type-C port, an HDMI, and Ethernet connectors, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
