Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro (14″, 2022): Full Specs

Design

The laptop is well built, coming with an aluminum chassis that has an anodized treatment, delivering a really good surface that feels nice and cool to the touch. There are also three colors: Cloud Grey, Stone Blue, and Storm Grey. All three look really good, getting glossy sides, which give the device a bit of flair. In terms of portability, the weight varies between the touch-enabled and the regular models, while the appearance of a discrete GPU adds a bit of weight as well. As for portability, all variants of the device have a profile of 15.9 mm.

Display

There are two displays, with high resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and good qualities. The base model features a panel that has an optional touch layer. It has a 2.2K resolution, a max brightness of 300 nits, a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 100% sRGB coverage. Then we have a 2.8K display with a higher max brightness of 400 nits, while the rest of the specs remain the same.

Specifications and features

In terms of hardware, there are two 12-core Alder lake P-series processors, with either the Core i5-1240P or the Core i7-1260P. These high core numbers should deliver great multi-core performance, which has been Intel’s big problem when combatting AMD’s Ryzen chips.

In terms of graphics, there is the integrated Iris Xe Graphics G7, with either 80 or 96 Execution Units, as well as two discrete GPUs, with the MX 550, which will meet most of your needs if you’re a casual user (the iGPUs will do that as well). The big player in the room is the RTX 2050, which was announced some time ago. When compared to the rest of the field, you should receive some serious performance upgrades in gaming and productivity.

In terms of I/O, the laptop comes with two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, two USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, an SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The base offers an optional fingerprint reader, while the stereo speakers, FHD Webcam, and the dual-array mic come as standard.
