[Specs and Info] Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro (14″, 2022) – slim and capable of many things

While the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro (14″, 2022) doesn’t have the highest performance, it offers enough to satisfy most consumers, while offering something they can’t resist: good looks.

It’s no secret that the majority of buyers don’t have a detailed look at the specs of a laptop, which then prompts them to look at other places, mainly the exterior design or the display.

This is where Lenovo is betting big, with two 14-inch high-resolution panels that open the possibility for professional work to be done, along with an aluminum chassis that is an eye-catcher.

Today we are giving you a quick overview of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro (14″, 2022).

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro (14″, 2022): Full Specs

As we said above, the laptop comes entirely built out of aluminum, with both the lid and the base being crafted from the metal. Furthermore, the surface has been anodized using sandblasting to deliver a smooth finish with a signature pattern. As for the design itself, we have two colors with light and dark grey options and small Lenovo and Yoga branding on the lid and base.

The keyboard has a low profile and the backlight fits it very well, almost looking like something out of science fiction. In terms of dimensions, the laptop has been kept as light as possible, stopping the scales at 1.37 kg and having a profile of 14.6 mm.

There are two 14-inch displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The base configuration offers a 2.2K IPS panel with a max brightness of 300 nits, a contrast ratio of 1500:1, and 100% sRGB coverage. If you want something more, there is a 2.8K IPS panel with an increased brightness of 400 nits and a 90Hz refresh rate, while keeping the same contrast ratio and coverage. The panels support Dolby Vision and several TUV certifications for a reduction in eye-straining blue light.

Specifications and features

In terms of specs, we have nothing we haven’t seen before on other laptops. There are two Alder Lake P-series CPUs with either the Core i5-1240P or the Core i7-1260P both of which offer 12 cores (4 P-cores and 8 E-cores). They offer support for DDR5 RAM, which the laptop does come with. This will make the onboard integrated graphics perform much better, as iGPUs are shown to be heavily dependent on fast RAM, in order to access assets quickly.

With such a CPU and iGPU combo, you can do some Creator work using the displays, as Intel has several technologies that help boost performance in high-intensity workloads like video rendering.

I/O-wise, there is a single USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack, which isn’t the best and we would have liked to see an SD card slot of some type.
