[Specs and Info] The HP Chromebook family is expanding with four new devices

HP is getting pretty aggressive with its strategy, filling out its portfolio with as many devices as possible. This is a double-edged sword, however, as we have seen how no distinction between brands and lineups can straight up confuse consumers, many of which don’t have time to look into specs and just go ahead and purchase a laptop.

On the other hand, Chromebooks don’t need a lot of marketing to be successful. Their price does that for them, as well as being backed by the giant that is Google.

Today we are taking a look at HP’s new Chromebook family

Full Specs: HP Chromebook 14 (14b-nb0000) / Chromebook 14 (14a-nd0000) / Chromebook x360 14 (14a-ca0000) / Chromebook x360 14 (14a-cb0000)

Design

The laptops are all pretty similar, but the Chromebook 14 (14b-nb0000) takes the cake when it comes to build quality. It has an aluminum lid and keyboard frame, while the rest is made from plastic. It also borrows some resemblance to the HP Omen lineup, with the keyboard deck being slightly lower than the palm rest, creating a gap when you close down the lid. The rest of the devices are made of plastic, with all of them having a mineral silver color. The two convertible laptops also bring a 360-degree hinge, allowing for a while new range of usability.
