[Specs, Info, and Prices] HP EliteBook 650 G10 – This can’t be the real price, right?

The EliteBook 650 G9 last year was a great specimen that might be worth considering even in 2023, as it’s business and security features are still viable, while the performance jump from the 12th to 13th Gen Intel U-series processors might not be that high, in order to warrant an upgrade. Regardless, here comes the EliteBook 650 G10, with its Raptor Lake glory, while keeping everything else pretty much identical to last year. However, if the price is anything to go by, you should definitely look at other options. We know EliteBooks are the more premium business laptops from HP, but this is getting out of hand.

Today we’re giving you a quick overview of the HP EliteBook 650 G10.

The HP EliteBook 650 G10 is available now with a starting price of $1,738.

HP EliteBook 650 G10: Full Specs

Design

The EliteBook 600 series usually uses the same all-aluminum chassis as the ProBook 400 series. While this makes the 600-series easier and more affordable to manufacture, the price is still sky-high. The design is definitely smart and sophisticated, with the classic silver finish looking a bit boring, but the laptop is for the office, so it’s not like there’s any edginess needed. In terms of build quality, the metal gave the G9 device enough flex resistance, so we hope this translates to the G10 device as well. As for the dimensions, the EliteBook weighs 1.78 kg and has a profile of 19.81 mm.

The port selection of the EliteBook 650 G10 includes two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, one USB Type-C 4.0 port, an HDMI 2.1 port, a LAN port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Display

For the display, there are several options, including a 768p TN panel which shouldn’t even be given the time of day. Then there’s a Full HD IPS panel with a 250-nit peak brightness, but only half of the sRGB gamut. The panel also has a touchscreen option, if you like to use your finger as an input. The final display has the same Full HD resolution and a higher peak brightness of 400 nits. It also fully covers the sRGB gamut.

Specifications and features

The laptop is powered by both U-series and P-series chips from the Raptor Lake lineup. We start off with the Core i3-1315U, a 6-core 8-thread part, going as high as the 10-core 12-thread Core i7-1365U. From the P-series, there’s the Core i5-1350P and the Core i7-1370P, both with 12 cores and 16 threads. Paired with integrated graphics, they can be snappy and powerful, especially the latter two CPUs, which can handle heavier workloads. In terms of features, the base offers both a fingerprint reader and a long speaker grill.  On the top bezel, there’s also a Full HD webcam as well as an IR sensor, which allows for facial recognition.
