[Specs, Info, and Prices] HP ENVY x360 15 (Intel, 2021) might be the ideal device for artists and creators

Yesterday, we showed you the AMD version of the HP ENVY x360 15, which comes powered by the U-series of Ryzen 5000 processors. The laptop offers great performance that is paired with a versatile body, which has a 360-degree hinge, enabling tablet functionality.

Today we will talk about the Intel model, which comes with the newest from Team Blue. Tiger Lake has been the light at the end of the tunnel for the Blue company, and while as of now, we only have the low-TDP chips, Intel is for sure preparing H-series chips, which will truly be a treat. Now, without losing focus on the subject today, here is our quick overview of the HP ENVY x360 15 (Intel).

The HP ENVY x360 15 (Intel, 2021) will be available in April with a starting price of $899.99 for the Core i5 variant and $1,049 for the Core i7 variant.

Design

Similar to last year’s ENVY x360 15, the new laptop retains the same design cues and build quality, which can only bode well. You have a solid and good-looking device, made entirely out of aluminum, which should provide it with both supreme durability and a cool-to-the-touch feeling, which is always amazing. The laptop implements a 360-degree hinge, which allows for it to be used as a tablet, which further enables the laptop to be used for design and art. The notebook can also be ordered with an optional stylus pen. Weight and height-wise, the 2021 model weighs 20 grams less and is half a millimeter slimmer.

Display

The device retains the same touchscreen display from last year, which is a great thing because that display was fantastic (that is, of course, if HP has decided to use the same panel). It had near 100% sRGB color coverage and displayed some of the most accurate colors that we have seen. According to the spec sheet, the display has 250 nits of brightness and comes covered in Corning Gorilla Glass, which will both increase the durability of the lid and provide some much-needed scratch resistance.

Specifications

Lastly, the specifications are greatly improved on the 2021 model. It’s not that the older Ice Lake chips were that bad, it’s just that Tiger Lake is so good. They are very power-efficient and provide amazing performance. The base configuration comes with the Core i5-1135G7 and the Iris Xe Graphics G7 with 80 Execution Units. This CPU is ideal for a first laptop as it has enough performance to handle medium to highly-intensive workloads. If you want more, you can opt for the Core i7-1165G7 and the Iris Xe Graphics G7 with 96 Execution Units, which is a true performer and can handle pretty much anything you throw at it.

In terms of features, the laptop comes with a backlight keyboard and has support for Wi-Fi 6 AX201 – a proprietary standard, which is only available on certain Intel chipsets.
