[Specs, Info and Prices] List of all laptops with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (Updated: January 2023)

While the mobile GeForce RTX 4090 can sound mouth-watering for most of you, the price of the majority of RTX 4090-based laptops can be jaw-dropping.  The GeForce RTX 4080 is a step down in terms of power but it’s still a super-fast graphics card that costs less compared to the RTX 4090.

Most of the laptops that are available with the latter can be picked with the GeForce RTX 4080 so you can take advantage of fast high-res and high refresh rate display alongside options like M.2 Gen. 5 slots (in some particular series of machines), great backlit keyboard, big batteries, etc. As you can see, we made a list that includes all the laptops that come with the new RTX 4080.

Below we have the laptop grouped by manufacturer, with updates coming frequently, any time when a new device gets announced or hits the market.

AORUS 17X (2023)

The AORUS 17X (2023) is a real monster that can be configured with the most powerful Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs and high TGP versions of the RTX 4000 lineup that includes. The CPU variants are the Intel Core i9-13950HX, Core i9-13900HX, and Core i7-13700HX and this makes the laptop a versatile variant when it comes to configuring. The profile thickness is just 2.18mm and this can be a real challenge when the laptop is bundled with the 175W version of the GeForce RTX 4080. That’s why we’ll try to test this machine as soon as possible.

The panel is a 17.3″ 1440p 16:9 unit with a  240Hz refresh rate. The two SODIMMs are compatible with DDR5-5600 (i9-configured laptops) and DDR5-4800 (i7-configured laptops) and the two M.2 slots are compatible with Gen 4.0×4 NVMe SSDs. The per-key RGB keyboard supports the per-key macro extra. All notebooks are equipped with a 99Wh battery and a big 330W power adapter.

AORUS 17H (2023)

The AORUS 17H (2023) has almost as powerful hardware as its bigger sibling – the AORUS 17X (2023) but the end price should be at least a bit more pleasant. Looking at the display, this one seems meant for online shooters because the panel is a 17.3″ 1080p unit and it has a whooping refresh rate of 360Hz. You can pick the device with one of these two Raptor Lake CPUs – Intel Core i9-13900H and Intel Core i7-13700H and the only GPU option is the 150W of GeForce RTX 4080. Overall, the AORUS 17H (2023) looks like a smart choice.

The upgrade options are good as well – two M.2 slots compatible with Gen. 4 drives and two SODIMMs for up to 64GB of DDR5 memory. For powering the device, there is a big 99Wh battery and a 280W power adapter. The keyboard is a per-key RGB unit that supports the per-key macro option. In terms of connectivity, the device is offering Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth V5.2

ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 (G834, 2023)

The ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 (G834, 2023) is a true wet dream for gamers. It has a large 18-inch 16:10 display with 1600p resolution. This unit is also an anti-glare one, the refresh rate is 240Hz, and it supports G-Sync. The presence of a MUX switch can ensure the maximum possible FPS in any game without connecting an external display.

The other characteristics are great too – an Intel Core i9-13980HX and one of the possible GPU variants is the powerful  NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (Laptop, 175W). The notebook is powered by a 90Wh battery and the power adapter is a 330W variant. Just like many other ROG Strix laptops, the 2023 version of G834 comes with a full-blown RGB experience including a chiclet keyboard with per-key illumination and many Aura Sync options like Aura Sync Rear Glow, Aura Sync Light Bar, and Aura Sync logo.

The machine can handle up to 64GB DDR5 (thanks to its 2 SODIMMs) and the storage is entrusted to two M.2 PCIe Gen. 4 slots (supporting RAID 0 mode too).

ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650, 2023)

For creators with wider wallets, ASUS brings the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650, 2023), and just like its previous versions, the new kid on the block comes with two displays for better productivity. The main screen is a 16″ 1600p Mini LED model with a 16:10 ratio and a 240Hz refresh rate. The second panel is a 4K touchscreen 14.1-inch with stylus support. Not just creators, but regular users and gamers can also enjoy the aid of the second display in some programs and gaming titles.

The processor and graphics variants are impressive as well – AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX (which is a 16-core monster with 32 threads) and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (Laptop, 165W). When you combine all that with the two displays, a possible super gaming potential lies ahead. The two RAM slots can take up to 64GB DDR5 and there are two M.2 slots compatible with Gen 4 drives and RAID 0. The touchpad doubles as a NumPad and the keyboard is a per-key RGB unit. For such a big and powerful machine, the 90Wh battery and the 280W power adapter sound like something normal.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 (GU604, 2023)

If you aren’t always on the hunt for the most powerful and expensive laptop, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 (GU604, 2023) is a good balance between a reasonable price (for a new gaming machine) and top-tier hardware under the hood. The laptop relies on a mighty Intel Core i9-13900H and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (Laptop, 145W) is available for configuring.

The panel is suitable for (almost) any kind of work or entertainment because it’s a 16-inch Mini LED 16:10 1600p display and the 240Hz refresh rate is here for additional smoothness during usage. The MUX switch and the G-Sync support are great options for a gaming device and yes, these two are available too. Two SODDIMs can handle up to 64GB DDR5 and there is a single M.2 slot compatible with Gen. 4 SSDs for storage. We have to mention the backlit keyboard and the battery which is a 90Wh variant.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (GA402, 2023)

This year GA402 should continue the success of previous-gen devices. The new sibling is a small laptop that is hiding a huge amount of power. This compact notebook is no joke, based on the configuration, the profile thickness is 1.95 (1.85) ~ 2.05 (1.95) cm, and new powerful hardware is fitted in the chassis. The CPU variants are the all-new Zen 4 AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS and AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS. One of the most powerful GPU options is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (Laptop, 125W). Such a thin device, available with impressive processor and graphics options.

The 14-inch screen looks like a good choice for games and (probably) most kinds of work. This is a hi-res panel with 1600p resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio, G-Sync support, and the MUX switch is part of the default options. The device can be picked with up to 32GB DDR5 in dual-channel mode and for storage, you can rely on a single M.2 Gen. 4 slot. may the small footprint of the laptop not fool you, inside, there is a big 76Wh battery and the power adapter is a 240W model. As you may already guess, the keyboard has a backlight, and options such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 standard.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602)

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602) is a great alternative to the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650, 2023). The Zenbook is meant for creativity and productivity tasks. First of all, it looks super cool with its auto-tilting keyboard which is enhancing the cooling capabilities of the device and at the same time it leads to better ergonomics during typing. The all-metal build looks stunning, and we like the big-size touchpad and the presence of the ASUS Dial that can be used for quickly accessing Adobe’s app functions. The NumPad is integrated into the touchpad and it’s called “ASUS NumberPad”

The device has more tricks up in its sleeve like the ASUS Supernova SoM Design – the motherboard size is reduced by 38% and ASUS is claiming that this trick should increase the overall cooling efficiency of the system. Still, when it comes to specs, this machine can be even used for games as well. The CPU options are the Intel Core i9-13905H and the Intel Core i9-13900H and the top GPU variant is the GeForce RTX 4080 and at least for now, the TGP is unknown. The maximum possible RAM configuration is 32GB LPDDR5X and there is one M.2 slot compatible with Gen. 4 NVMe drives. The profile of the device is just 1.69 ~ 1.78 cm and it’s interesting how ASUS was able to fit such a big 96Wh battery inside of the laptop.

Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (16″ Intel, 2023)

Lenovo wants to impress future buyers with its all-new Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (16″ Intel, 2023). This gaming laptop can be configured with either Intel Core i9-13900HX or Core i7-13700HX and the 175W GeForce RTX 4080 still packs enough power for a high FPS experience. The hardware inside of the notebook will dissipate a big amount of heat during gaming and the vapor-chamber ColdFront 5.0 cooling solution will help to bring the temperatures of the both CPU and GPU chips as low as possible. The max memory configuration is eye-catching –  32GB of DDR5-6000 (2x 16GB and two SODIMM slots). The impressive thing here is the insanely high memory frequencies (for a notebook). For storage are listed two M.2 Gen. 4 slots.

The panel is a 16-inch IPS model with a 1600p resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 240Hz refresh rate, G-Sync support, and just like most machines in this article, there is a MUX switch as well. We can spot a per-key RGB keyboard with anti-ghosting. The battery is a huge 99.99Wh unit and thanks to the Super Rapid Charge, Lenovo claims that it can be fully charged for just 60 minutes – we want to test that to see if it’s possible. The most powerful laptop variants are equipped with a 330W slim Gallium (GaN) power adapter while the other siblings are bundled with a 300W version.

MSI Titan GT77 HX (13Vx)

Behold, the Titan is here! Or at least this sentence can be used when it comes to MSI gaming laptops. The new laptop has a gamer-ish but somehow stylish exterior but as always, the more interesting things are fitted inside of the laptop. Under the keyboard, you can find Raptor Lake CPUs (up to Intel Core i9-13980HX) and the optional 175W version of the GeForce RTX 4080. The main event is the 4K 144Hz 17.3-inch MiniLED display – a 1440p 240Hz panel is available as well.

The great hardware is accompanied by gaming peripherals like a SteelSeries mechanical per-key gaming keyboard and a large-sized touchpad. For storage are fitted two M.2 PCIe Gen. 4 slots and there is another one that is Gen. 5 compatible (you can install the fastest NVMe drives there). It’s not a surprise that the laptop comes with a monstrous 99Wh battery and a big 330W adapter. The 4 SODIMM slots that can handle up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM are part of the overall great-looking bundle of specs.

MSI Raider GE78 HX (13Vx)

Sure, the Titan GT77 HX is a great laptop, but if you don’t need all that power and extras (or its price is too high for you), the MSI Raider GE78 HX (13Vx) can offer an almost similar experience. The two 17.3″ display options correspond to the high expectations – a 165Hz 1200p panel and a 240Hz 1600p model. The Raider sibling has nothing to hide when it comes to specs – Intel Core i9-13980HX and the powerful 175W GeForce RTX 4080.

Sure, the RAM SODIMM slots are “only” two but it’s okay because the maximum possible amount is 64GB DDR5 – neat. The storage options include one Gen. 5 and one Gen. 4 PCIe slot. The SteelSeries per-key RGB keyboard is a standard option, as well as the 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth v5.3. Similar to its Titan sibling, the top configurations are bundled with a 99Wh battery and a 330W power adapter.

MSI Stealth 17 Studio (A13Vx)

If you like thin and powerful machines, maybe the MSI Stealth 17 Studio (A13Vx) can possibly be on your shortlist. The device can be configured with the 105W version of the GeForce RTX 4080 while the profile is still as thin as possible for such a gaming laptop – 20.1~20.8 mm. The CPU variants are the following – Intel Core i9-13900H and the Intel Core i7-13700H (or at least for now). Specs-wise, this laptop is a thin monstrosity.

You can choose between many display panels, the top-end variant is a MiniLED 17.3″ 4K display and it has a 144Hz refresh rate. CS:GO and Call Of Duty fans should be happy because there is a 1080p 360Hz panel. The two SODIMM slots can handle up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and we can spot the absence of the latest and greatest PCIe Gen. 5 M.2 slot but the two Gen. 4s should be enough for most users. As a true gaming MSI device, this laptop has an RGB SteelSeries keyboard. The machine is powered by a 99Wh battery and a 280W adapter.
