[Specs, Info, and Prices] Samsung Galaxy Book Go – a strong competitor in the business market

Samsung is one of the premier manufacturers when it comes to Android devices. However, recently they have been having a pretty close relationship with Microsoft.

They keep offering the Office apps preinstalled on every single one of their smartphones, offer OneDrive cloud storage, and have deep integration with the Windows OS. This is where the Galaxy Book Go comes in. Coming with a Snapdragon SoC and a lightweight chassis, it can seamlessly integrate your Samsung smartphone into your workflow.

Today we are giving you a quick overview of the Samsung Galaxy Book Go.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go is available now with a starting price of $799.99. Right now, however, there is an option to trade in your older laptop, which would bring the price down to $549.99.

Samsung Galaxy Book Go: Full Specs

Design

Samsung doesn’t say what materials the Galaxy Book Go uses, however, it heavily advertises the lightweight and durable nature of the laptop. We would hope that we get premium materials, such as aluminum or magnesium. The laptop has sharp edges and rounded corners, along with relatively thin bezels, of which the top one houses an HD webcam. The 180-degree hinge allows for full flat positioning. In terms of weight and height, the laptop stands at 1.37 kg and 14.98 mm, respectively.

Display

The display used here has a 14-inch diagonal, Full HD resolution, and uses an IPS panel. Sadly, we have no information about the specifications of the panel, such as the max brightness, color coverage, or accuracy. However, if we manage to get a Galaxy Book Go for a review, you can expect a full breakdown of all the features of the notebook.

Specifications and features

Similar to other portable business notebooks, this one also uses a Qualcomm SoC. There are two options, depending on if you want 5G connectivity or not. The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 brings 5G support, while the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 doesn’t. The 8cx also brings a higher clock speed of 3.15 GHz. Both SoCs bring Adreno graphics, of which the 680 that is inside the 8cx should perform better.

The laptop brings Windows 10, with a promised free upgrade to Windows 11. Windows 11 can now load Android apps, which opens a whole new world to laptop users. This further establishes the connectivity and integration between smartphones and tablets. In terms of I/O, you get a single USB 2.0 port, two USB Type-C ports, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
