Google: Chromebooks from 2017 onwards to support Android applications

To some of you the title of this short article may sound a bit strange as there already are some Chromebook laptops which actually have access to the Google Play Store and Android applications. As good examples here we may refer to the Google Chromebook Pixel 2 and the Acer Chromebook R11.

Additionally, the reason for this short publication to exist is an update on the official support page of Chrome OS which points out that all Chromebooks released in 2017 and onward will be able to work with Android applications. This of course is an expected move on Google’s part as they seem to be pushing forward their products – this year’s CES 2017 revealed a couple of new Chromebooks.
