Intel Core i7-12700H breaks the 18000 points barrier in Cinebench R23 inside the MSI Vector GP66

What happens when suddenly you’re not the biggest name in the room. This is what happened around 5 years ago when AMD launched Ryzen and put Intel to the side. With each passing year, AMD would improve steadily, while Intel just sat there, watching and waiting, biding their time.

Now, things seem to be taking another turn, as Alder Lake is here to finish off what Tiger Lake started, that being coming back on top and dominating the CPU field and putting AMD on the #2 spot. Their latest weapon, the Core i7-12700H, surprised everyone, taking the top spot in our Top Laptop CPU Ranking.

Moreover, with its 14 Cores and 20 Threads, the CPU showcases superb performance in Cinebench R23, breaking the 18000 points barrier, and cementing itself as the fastest laptop CPU up to date.

Here is our Top Laptop CPU Ranking, which shows the fastest CPUs that we have managed to put to the test.
