We have the next-gen Intel HD Graphics 630 (Kaby Lake) in a laptop – Gaming tests

Surprise! After being the first to see benchmarks of the still unannounced and unreleased Intel Core i7-7700HQ, the readers of LaptopMedia now have the chance to check out some benchmarks and gaming tests of the Intel HD Graphics 630 (Kaby Lake) integrated graphics in a laptop. That’s right, we have one and we can’t resist to share some good news about that.

As you can see in the table below, Intel’s integrated graphics still haven’t reached the point when you’ll be able to fluently play the most demanding titles, even at minimum settings but it will make possible having a good time with a bit lighter titles as Overwatch, Rocket League and FIFA 17.

 Intel HD Graphics 630 (Laptop)Average FPS (1366 x 768, Minimum settings)
GTA V 31
F1: 2015 27
Overwatch 78
Rocket League 65
CS:GO 68
Rise of the Tomb Raider 19
DOOM 20
Tom Clancy’s The Division 35

Keep in mind that Intel could update the drivers so there is a chance that these numbers will be slightly improved with the official release, coming in January. Until then, you can check out some good gaming notebooks deals here: http://amzn.to/2hWmzDo

Stay tuned for more interesting tests and benchmarks!

Great early test.
The big problem in this article is that you didn’t compare the results with available products such as Intel HD 530 or Nvidia Geforce 920M and 930M.

I agree with Mehdi
1)Make the comparison with HD 530
2)What mean lowest resolution and details-1280 x 720 ?

The reason we don’t rush with comparisons is because we’re waiting for a production unit to come in the next days. That’s why we also haven’t put the GPU/CPU in our Top Laptop Graphics rankings yet.

P.S. The resolution is 1366 x 768, minimum settings.

1)When Kaby lake will be officially introduced -5th of January 2017 ?
2)I think it is better to test 1280×720
Cheers.

Hey, Tiou 🙂
1. Kaby Lake is already official but Intel will show the HQ processors in January 🙂
2. 720p will get you a bit better framerate but there are many notebooks with 768p native resolution and that’s why we tested HD 630 at 1366×768 🙂
