Lenovo’s ideapad 120S (11”) screen is relatively harmless to your eyes

We have put the Lenovo ideapad 120S (11”) to several tests regarding screen quality and the results left us with rather mixed feelings.

Starting off with the bad news – the display uses PWM (up to 70 cd/m2) for regulating the brightness of the screen resulting in the so-called screen flickering effect. However, on a more positive note, the screen flickers at high frequencies making it comfortable for continuous work as it wouldn’t have such a negative impact on most users.

However, if this is a worrying fact for you, we have a solution to the problem and it is our Health-Guard profile, which eliminates PWM and also reduces the negative blue light emissions.
