Specs sheet of AMD Radeon RX 470 and RX 460

AMD announced its new RX lineup along with the new Radeon RX 480 GPU at Computex that took place in Taipei. A bit later, at the E3 gaming event, Lisa presented the two little brothers that are part of the Polaris architecture – RX 460 and RX 470. Unfortunately, AMD did not disclose a lot of information about the GPUs with the exception that RX 460 will target lighter eSports games such as League of Legends, whereas RX 470 will be powerful enough to meet you Full HD needs.

Yesterday AMD confirmed the specs of the two models and we expect that they will be uploaded to the official website very soon. Radeon RX 470 will count on Polaris 10 just like Radeon RX 480. Despite this, there are some differences between the two. The second chip (from the three announced up to now) will feature 2048 Radeon cores, 128 texture and 32 raster cores. Additionally, the interface will be 256-bit again, whereas the memory – GDDR5 and will offer a capacity of 4 GB. The GPU will be supplied by a 6-pin connector, and the expected starting price is below $150.

AMD Radeon RX 460 will count on the not so powerful Polaris 11, manufactured through a 14nm technological process. Also, the graphics card will offer 896 Radeon cores, 2GB DDR5 own memory and 128-bit interface – expected specs, considering the type of gamers this GPU targets. Additionally, the chip will be powered directly by the PCI slot, which means that you won’t need to add 6- or 8-pin connectors and that RX 460 offers relatively low power consumption. The photo below shows that the reference model resembles R9 Nano, which is characterized by compact dimensions. We have no information as regards the price of RX 460 but we expect it to be around $100.
