[Comparison] AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS vs Intel Core i7-12700H – Intel is winning, at least until Zen 4 gets here

The Ryzen 7 7735HS is the first 7000-series chip to swing by the office, so of course we have to put it through the wringer against 2022’s most relevant and most popular processors. Today, the Core i7-12700H steps up to the plate, being the CPU of choice for many gamers and performance enthusiasts. It brings exceptional numbers when it comes to performance, however, today we’re testing not only the CPUs but their respective iGPUs as well, to see which package is overall better suited for you.

That’s why for today, we’re comparing the “new” Ryzen 7 7735HS against the Core i7-12700H.

Conclusion

The Core i7-12700H is a spectacular processor that delivers a boatload of performance. On the other hand, the Ryzen 7 and its Radeon iGPU have great leads in games. In fact, we’ve got a whole playlist with gaming tests of the slightly less powerful Radeon 660M, which you can check out here. Our LaptopMedia benchmarks youtube channel has tests of all the popular laptop GPUs, so you can know what level of performance you can receive from a certain product, before having actually bought it. Intel’s iGPUs have some tricks too, coming with better encoding support, which can be crucial for rendering video or streaming, since the laptop can use the iGPU to encode the stream, leaving the discrete GPU to handle the games that you’re playing.
