[Specs and Info] HP ProBook x360 435 G9 – Security, Performance, and Portability

The three qualities that we mention in the title are seriously the only ones for a professional laptop. With the ProBook x360 435 G9, you get all three thanks to HP’s Wolf Security suite from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, AMD’s new Zen 3+ Ryzen 6000U-series processors with RDNA 2 integrated graphics, and a very portable body that weighs less than 1.50 kg.

Today we are giving you a quick overview of the HP ProBook x360 435 G9.

The HP ProBook x360 435 G9 will be available around April, with pricing information revealed around then.

HP ProBook x360 435 G9: Full Specs

Design

Being a convertible, you can do a hell of a lot of different tasks on it. For starters, the laptop weighs only 1.44 kg and has a profile of 17.95 mm. With the small 13.3-inch form factor, you have a device that you can bring anywhere with you. With sharp edges, rounded corners, and a sloping front, the laptop appears even thinner. The display is protected by a glass cover while also providing both a front and an optional rear-facing camera.

Display

The laptop offers a single display option, with a 13.3-inch diagonal, Full HD resolution, and an IPS panel. It comes in three configurations with 250, 400, and 1000 nits of brightness. The latter option also offers HP SureView Reflect and HP Eye Ease for enhanced privacy and low blue light emissions.

Specifications and features

The laptop comes with two options for processors, with either the Ryzen 5 6600U or the Ryzen 7 6800U, with a 6/12 and an 8/16 configuration, respectively. The large core count will contribute to strong multi-threaded performance, while the Zen 3 architecture and Zen 3+ by design have also improved a lot on the single-thread performance. Both have a similar cache size of around 20MB and a TDP of 15W.

For graphics, the laptop brings brand new offerings with two RDNA 2 integrated GPUs. The performance that they will offer is still up in the air, but if Valve has decided to implement similar technologies in their Steam Deck, we believe that it will be more than suitable for day to day stuff, and offer an excellent gaming experience in most free to play titles and esports games.

In terms of I/O, you get good coverage, offering two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, a single USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
