HP Chromebook x360 14 (14ct-cc0000): Full Specs

Design

The Chromebook arrives with an appealing design, including a nice grey finish. In terms of materials, HP keeps things behind closed doors, however, we would expect at least a touch of metal, considering the hardware inside and the price. The laptop looks sleek, with sharp edges, rounded-out corners, and grey HP and Chromebook logos on the lid, which keeps things minimal.

On the base, there’s a fingerprint reader, as well as front-firing stereo speakers which flank the keyboard on the left and right. Lastly, looking at the back, we see two heat exhaust vents, which are great for cooling.

Display

The laptop only has one display option, with a Full HD IPS display. HP doesn’t share a lot of details about it, however, we know that it comes with a 250-nit max brightness. Thankfully, it’s covered by Gorilla Glass 5, which means scratches will be minimal, while also increasing the durability and flex resistance of the lid.

Specifications and features

Lastly, we’re not exactly happy about the CPU selection, as we get the dual-core Core i3-1115G4 and the Core i3-1125G4. The i3-1125G4 has an extra 2MB of cache, while the Core i3-1115G4 has an extra GHz in the base clock speed. The integrated graphics inside the Core i3 chips are good for basic stuff and normal use.

The port selection includes one USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, two USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
