Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio: Full Specs

Design

The laptop has a very interesting aluminum design. On first look, it appears to be a regular laptop, with nothing more than a lid, a hinge, and the chassis. However, the lid has a hidden mechanism, from which the display folds out, and the aluminum part of the lid acts as a stand, similar to how tablet keyboard stands work. This means that the display can lay flat on top of the keyboard while facing the user. All in all, it is a pretty ingenious approach, as it gives the user a lot of versatility. In terms of weight and height, the laptop stands at 1.74 kg and 18.9mm, respectively.

Display

The laptop uses a 14.4-inch QHD+ IPS display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. This means that the resolution stands at 2400 x 1600p. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. It also brings touch support, meaning that you can use a Surface Pen on it. Furthermore, the panel is PixelSense Flow calibrated, ensuring accurate color representation.

Specifications and features

In terms of power, the laptop brings plenty, thanks to two Tiger Lake H35 processors. The base model has the Core i5-11300H, while the Core i7-11370H is also available. Both processors have a four-core eight-thread configuration and a base clock of over 3.00GHz. For the graphics, we have the integrated Iris Xe Graphics G7, which is decent for daily tasks and can handle some light gaming. The RTX 3050 Ti is also available, which has a lot more power both in professional tasks and in games.

Features-wise, the laptop has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a backlit keyboard, a haptic touchpad, which gives you feedback when you use it. The audio system is on an amazing level, using four Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Made by professionals for professionals, the laptop can definitely satisfy the needs of an engineer, a developer, or a designer, who values performance and professional features.
