Acer announced its new curved monitor – the XR382CQK with ultra-wide 38-inch screen and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels

Today Acer unveiled their new high-end 38-inch XR382CQK  monitor. The screen is cured and ultra-wide with a resolution of 3440 х 1440 pixels. That unusual resolution is thanks to the 21:9 screen ratio. Response time is 5ms, while viewing angles are 172° horizontally and 178° vertically. The screen’s brightness in 300cd/m². The monitor can visualize up to 1.07 billion colors.

Acer XR382CQK features a DisplayPort 1.2a which supports AMD’s FreeSync technology for adaptive screen synchronization. There are also a HDMI 2.0 port, four USB 3.0 ports, and one USB type-C port.

There is an implemented technology for reducing the harmful blue light emissions along with a system for adjusting the so-called PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation). A technology for improving the contrast ratio and special gaming profiles suitable for different genres are also present. Acer XR382CQK is a massive monitor that weighs 10.71 kilograms and has the following dimensions – 869.9 mm х 327.7 mm х 309.1 mm (WхLхH). The monitor supports VESA wall mounts. It should go on sale for around $1300.
