Acer claims its new Predator has a 165W RTX 4080, it’s actually even faster

The RTX 4080 is already the #1 GPU in our Top Laptop Graphics Ranking, however, we’re talking about the most powerful 175W version. The GPU is offered in many of the 2023 high-end gaming notebooks, some with the full 175W power limit, others slightly below it. The Acer Predator Helios 18 is one such laptop, offering a 165W RTX 4080, along with the latest Raptor Lake Core i9-13900HX, a chip that has torn apart our Top Laptop CPU Ranking, taking first place there. However, we’ve got the Predator Helios 18 here at the office and have already begun to run tests on it. To our shock, the 4080 runs past its 165W limit, settling right at 169W max.
