Razer Blade 15 (2021) vs 15 Advanced (2021) – what are the differences?

Perhaps some of you are wondering what are the differences between the regular Razer Blade 15 and its Advanced sibling? That’s why in today’s article we are going to compare the 2021 versions of these two Razer devices.

Hardware-wise, the first obvious difference is the CPU choice. The base model is equipped with a 6-core Intel Core i7-10750H while the Advanced variant has an advantage because it offers a faster processor with more cores – Intel Core i7-10875H. It seems that the Core i7-10750H is just fine for most games but a faster CPU with more cores is a welcomed feature (that will cost you more money).

In terms of display options, the smaller model is okay with a 144 Hz 1080p panel or with an optional QHD unit with a 165 Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Advanced model looks more impressive with a 360 Hz 1080p display, and the optional panels are good as well – a QHD unit with a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 4K OLED panel with a touch function.

These are gaming devices and the GPU is (probably) the thing that matters the most. The normal device can be picked with up to GeForce RTX 3070 but at the same time, the Advanced variant has a GeForce RTX 3080 as a top graphics option.

When it comes to cooling, the Razer Blade 15 Advanced has the upper hand again because it has a Vapor Chamber solution while the normal model has an “Advanced Heat Pipe” cooling (official Razer’s specs).

Perhaps the Advanced model needs better cooling because of its thickness which is just 17mm and the non-Advanced variant is a bit thicker – 19.9 mm. And while we are talking about measurements, the base model weighs 2.09 kg and the more expensive variant is just a shy heavier – 2.14 kg.
