aa3c0c41-f796-4c2d-b372-cf068b78e0e4_1.e228aa603c36abd2f661fad4770cfdd7It’s been a while since we posted the full review of the Inspiron 7359 – an affordable 2-in-1 solution from Dell – but we rarely see a budget HD (768p) IPS panel on a budget friendly device so we decided to post our profiles tailored for this specific configuration. In the pack below, you will find the usual Health-Guard, Office work / Web design and Gaming / Movie Nights profiles. You can read more about them here and how to use them. We also suggest reading our dedicated article regarding blue light emissions and PWM and how our custom profiles help eliminate both to certain extend.

The Dell Inspiron 7359 has an decent IPS panel with good properties, considering the price point, of course. However, our profiles will improve the visibility in darker areas of an image/scene and will also aid for less stress on your eyes when it comes to blue light emissions and PWM.

Since our profiles are tailored for each individual display model, this article and its respective profile package is meant for Dell Inspiron 7359 with 13.3″ LG W6TN0-133WH2 (HD, 1366 x 768) IPS screen and the device can be found at Amazon.com: Dell Inspiron 7359.

Office Work / Web Design

This profile aims to deliver the most accurate colors possible in the sRGB gamut – the colors used on the Web. That makes it suitable for Office work and, in some cases, for Web Design, although the screen of Dell’s Inspiron 7359 isn’t intended for such purposes. We would advise that you pick a notebook with an IPS screen and better gamut coverage / contrast ratio. However, we successfully bring the average DeltaE 2000 (color accuracy, lower is better), which is just as good out of the box, down from 3.53 to 3.36. Let’s see how that looks in the two graphs below…

Gaming and Movie Nights, Health-Guard

The IPS screen of the Inspiron 7359 will do fine when it comes to general multimedia but performs even better with our Gaming and Movie Nights profile. This profile lets you see more details in the darkest areas (you can see an example here) and since the device isn’t intended for gaming, it will surely serve well for general multimedia purposes, though.

As for the Health-Guard profile, it reduces the Blue Light impact and eliminates screen flicker on 200 cd/m2 brightness (be sure to keep the brightness slider at its Max position).

Installing and using the profiles

You can find a guide for installing and using the profiles HERE.
