日本Dell Vostro 5459 preview – mobile and elegant business notebook
During the last couple of days we shared with you several previews of various models – from budget to business devices, characterized by high computing and graphics performance. Today we would like to have a look at a model that belongs to a very popular series – Vostro 5459. As we know, this is an affordable business lineup by Dell, and we would like to briefly touch upon the most notable features of this model.

Lightweight and snappy
This is a 14-inch laptop that weighs only 1.66 kg (battery included), which means it is a great mobile companion if you are frequently on the go. According to the manufacturer, the battery can last for up to 10.5 hours which, too, is a great plus if you travel a lot and need long battery life. Additionally, the notebook features a matte display with a resolution of 1366х768 p.
Taking a look at the hardware, we are not surprised that the American company has registered such long battery readings. All processors used in the configurations of Vostro 5459 are ULV – you can choose between Core i3-6100U, Core i5-6200U, and even Core i7-6500U.
To further reduce energy consumption, some models do not come with a discrete GPU but rely entirely on Intel HD Graphics 520. Nonetheless, there are configurations with GeForce 930M, which can be found in two versions – 2 GB or 4 GB DDR3 own memory. If you want additional speed, you can exchange the HDD (500 GB or 1 TB) for an SSD with a size that suits your needs – 128 GB, 250 GB, 480 GB, and 500 GB.
Revamped design
The new Dell Vostro 5459 configurations bring changes in both design and hardware. Previously, there used to be a golden exterior, and now it has turned silver – despite this, however, no changes are to be observed in interior design. Dell has thought about security and has included a fingerprint scanner and Kensington Lock. You can thus be sure that no unwanted people will have access to your device. If you plan to use Vostro 5459 in poorly lit environments, you can rely on keyboard backlighting.
