ASUS announces GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo and ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 Ti enthusiastic graphics cards

ASUS announced the world’s first ever custom GeForce GTX 1080 Ti models. They are expected to hit the market in March and the coolers used are from the Turbo and ROG STRIX series. The names of the two graphics cards are respectively GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo and ROG STRIX GTX 1080 Ti. The custom aftermarket cooling will allow higher overclocking and lower temperatures.

The design of the ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo is fairly simple with its good old turbine-like cooler. Its purpose is to lead the generated heat from the graphics card out of the case and it is particularly good when it comes to cases with bad air flow.

On the other hand the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is equipped with the newest DirectCU III cooler. Its design consists out of three fans and one huge cooling block. Apart from the excellent cooling, another reason for the endurance of the graphics card is the manufacturing process from ASUS – Auto-Extreme. The aggressive design is also backed by the ASUS AURA RGB illumination and backplate. ROG STRIX  is expected to cost more than the Turbo model.
