ASUS goes USB Type-C and Windows 10 on its new Transformer Book T100

We are beginning with our series of reports from Computex 2015 with our first exclusive information about the ASUS Transformer Book T100. The Transformer Book 2-in-1 devices are well renown and it’s quite uneasy not to stumble upon one of these when searching for a compact solution.

However, ASUS has really upped their game with the latest version of the Transformer Book, which should be unveiled in the next few hours (maybe). As for the Transformer Book T100 – it offers metallic finish with several available colors like blue, gray, pink, white, and black. The tablet is equipped with Intel Atom X5 SoC, which should deliver enough power for day to day tasks. Speaking of which, ASUS promises about 14 hours of video playback and 13 hours of web browsing and this is provided only with the built-in battery inside the tablet as ASUS has excluded the one in the docking station.

Other interesting features are USB Type-C (at last some devices coming with the new standard), 2 or 4GB of RAM (depending on your region or configuration). Also, the screen is just with HD resolution, IPS technology and comes with two cameras – 5MP back camera and 2MP front one. Well, we can’t be too picky, of course, because ASUS will be offering the Transformer Book T100TA’s successor for a little less than $300. If you want to learn more about the device, you will have to wait for the official launch.
