HP Pavilion Power is coming – an awesome new Pavilion with GTX 1050!

HP’s new addition to the Pavilion series is a slim yet powerful all-rounder called the Pavilion Power. The notebook holds a solid middle ground – it’s not the thinnest or lightest, nor the most powerful or feature packed but it combines a great deal from both worlds at a reasonable price.

Pavilion Power comes equipped with an Intel Core i5-7300HQ and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 which is just enough to run most modern games on low to medium graphics settings and still get a perfectly playable 60+ frame rate. This combined with a beautiful 15.6-inch IPS screen with Full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution makes the Pavilion Power an excellent budget gaming notebook. On the other hand, the device is quite slim measuring at just 24.1 mm and it weighs just 2.21 kg which makes it fairly portable.

The notebook comes with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM but you can upgrade it up to 16 GB. As for storage options, you get 1 TB of HDD at 7200 rpm. Hard drives are far from something to be happy about these days but at least HP has opted for a faster 7200 rpm HDD than the generic 5400 rpm drives that we find in most budget notebooks.

Connectivity-wise you have plenty of options. Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi ac, as well as Bluetooth 4.0, are just a portion of all connectivity options. You get an HDMI port for external monitor and USB Type-C for high-speed data transfer. The I/O’s of the Pavilion Power include a chiclet-style keyboard with a white backlight so you can comfortably continue your work even during the early hours.
