NVIDIA trying to take the spotlight away from Ryzen by possibly launching the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in March

NVIDIA is planning its GeForce GTX event to be parallel to AMD’s “Capsaicin & Cream” where the new Ryzen processors will be showcased. The event will be a part of the 2017 Game Developers’ Conference (GDC) where NVIDIA will announce its new enthusiast graphics card – GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. It is possible to see the new graphics chip being sold as soon as March.

Although, graphics cards and processors usually are not direct competitors the matching dates will definitely take away some of the attention from Ryzen. However, apart from the processors, AMD are expected to give us some leads on the upcoming Vega graphics cards too.

The new graphics from NVIDIA – GTX 1080 Ti will probably be based on the same GP102 chip as the behemoth TITAN X Pascal. The price could reach more than $1000. The base clock speed will be around 1.5 GHz while the Boost frequency – 1.6 GHz. We will probably see 10GB of video memory with 384-bit bus and a memory frequency of about 10GHz.
