Samsung Galaxy S7 edge scored really impressive runtimes in our battery tests

hjkOne of the major differences between Samsung’s new flagships – Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge – is in the battery. While the classic model sports a 3000 mAh unit, the curved screen version has a 3600 mAh unit. Judging solely by the specs, one might say that the S7 edge is expected to provide longer battery life. However, we should keep in mind that it also packs a slightly larger display, which will definitely draw more power and things get a little bit more complicated. Anyway, we’ve already finished most of Galaxy S7 edge’s battery tests and here are some of the results.

In our Wi-Fi web browsing test, the phone managed to survive for 868 minutes (14 hours and 28 minutes), which is an excellent result. In our video playback test, the device scored way higher – 1133 minutes (18 hours and 53 minutes). Even in the most demanding 3D gaming test, the S7 edge didn’t disappoint as it will provide you with up to 465 minutes (7 hours and 45 minutes) of play time.
