The new Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition (VN7-592G) did pretty good in our display tests

u_10137574We got a hold of the new Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition (VN7-592G) gaming notebook and the initial test from our lab came out. We are happy that Acer kept the same image quality (if not better in some cases) and didn’t go with a drastic change in the display department. We’ve got the same Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display with matte finish.

Acer’s new gaming notebook still relies on LG panels, but this time around using LP156WF6-SPB1. That particular panel did really good in our tests by hitting 90% sRGB color gamut coverage, 335 cd/m2 maximum brightness (that’s pretty bright for a notebook), 970:1 contrast ratio, and close to optimal color temperature (6230К) with 6500K being the normal daylight. The deviation is hardly noticeable.

I hope you guys will test the 4K display, as well as the forthcoming Asus N552 one.
