[Specs, Info, and Prices] Razer Blade 15 Advanced – Razer isn’t going to miss out on the Tiger Lake fun

Razer has been an interesting company. Founded by a Singaporean and an American in 1998, it quickly became the staple in gaming accessories. The brand has evolved drastically, from selling mice and keyboards, which they still do to this day, to now offering a smartphone and a whole range of laptops, which range from the lightweight and low-powered Razer Blade Stealth to the regular Razer Blade and the Razer Blade Pro, which sport more powerful hardware with higher TDP. Today we will take a look at the Razer Blade 15 Advanced, which now comes powered by Tiger Lake H and RTX 3000-series graphics.

Without revealing too much here is our quick overview of the Razer Blade 15 Advanced.

The Razer Blade 15 Advanced is available now with a starting price of US$2,299.99.

Razer Blade 15 Advanced: Full Specs

Design

In terms of the design and build quality, the Razer Blade lineup is known for its superb build quality. The whole laptop is made from metal, with an anodized black finish. Branding is also done very tastefully, with only a Razer logo on the back of the lid, which really rounds out the whole exterior of the laptop. The black and green aesthetic is something that is mostly overlooked, as many manufacturers go for the standard black and red (looking at you ASUS, MSI, Acer). The weight is really appropriate, considering the hardware that the device is packing. It weighs only 1.99 kg and is 17 mm tall on the thickest side.

Display

Being a productivity/gaming laptop, there are three different display options, all coming with high refresh rates, which is an homage to the gamer-y roots of the device. All of the displays have a 15.6-inch diagonal, while everything else varies from panel to panel. The entry configuration comes with a QHD IPS panel, 240Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and factory calibration, meaning superb color accuracy. It supports G-Sync and has a 2.5 ms response time. The second panel brings the resolution down to Full HD but bumps up the refresh rate to 360Hz. It covers 100% of the sRGB gamut, lacks the G-Sync support, but has an even faster response time of 2 ms. The final display uses an OLED panel, has a 4K resolution, a 1ms response time, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, HDR support, and a glossy surface.

Specifications and features

There are two processor choices, both part of the Tiger Lake H-series, The first one is the Core i7-11800H, which already looks to have more than enough power, thanks to its 8-core / 16-thread layout. The second processor is the Core i9-11980HK, which is the best that Tiger Lake can offer. It has more performance, a higher boost clock speed, and more cache, all of which are important and used when the laptop is under heavy load. There are several options for graphics cards as well, with the starting configuration featuring the RTX 3060 (Laptop). The RTX 3070 (Laptop) and RTX 3080 (Laptop) are also available, in case you want more gaming performance.

Some features include an FHD webcam with Windows Hello support, an RGB-backlit keyboard, which uses a per-key backlight, and has anti-ghosting for every key. A stereo speaker setup is provided by THX Spatial Audio, which is actually a Razer subsidiary, which they acquired in 2016. You will also sound your best during conference calls, thanks to a 4-Array Microphone.
