[Specs, Info, and Prices] Razer is gunning for the top (and beyond) with the Razer Blade 14 (Mid-2021)

Razer is one of those companies that will never go out of business. It has such a passionate following of fans that will always have their back, similar to BMW drivers. The company has changed a lot, from selling gaming peripherals, moving into the laptop market, and even the smartphone one, by purchasing Nextbit in 2017 and releasing the Razer Phone and Razer Phone 2 a year after that.

Here is the mid-year refresh of the Razer Blade 14, which brings the pinnacle of Zen 3 and RTX Ampere performance, along with a multitude of features, in this amalgamation of productivity, workstation, and gaming awesomeness.

Today we are giving you a quick overview of the Razer Blade 14 (Mid-2021).

The Razer Blade 14 (Mid-2021) is available now with a starting price of US$1,799.99 for the unit with the RTX 3060 (Laptop, 100W).

Razer Blade 14 (Mid-2021): Full Specs

Design

In terms of design and build materials, you get the best possible with a full metal chassis that feels every bit as premium as it looks. The laptop looks stunning, with the green Razer logo on the lid, carefully placed dead center. The sharp edges give it an aggressive vibe, while the rounded corners provide the necessary elegance, to make a beautiful machine. The laptop is incredibly portable, especially when considering the hardware and cooling inside. It weighs only 1.78 kg while being only 16.8 mm.

The subtle hints of green on the I/O are also a very nice touch and the green color gives off feelings of calmness.

Display

The laptop offers two 14-inch IPS display choices, both of which, on paper, look absolutely incredible and can definitely be used for creativity, or any color-sensitive work for that matter. The first panel comes in a Full HD resolution, has a refresh rate of 144Hz, and covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut. The second display bumps up the resolution and the refresh rate to QHD and 165Hz, respectively. It also covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Both panels also come with individual calibration, so we expect very good color accuracy with a dE value of around 1.0.

Specifications and features

Lastly, the specs are very (and we mean VERY) impressive. You get the Zen 3-based Ryzen 9 5900HX, which is the best processor from the Ryzen 5000-series from AMD. It has beastly specs, with an 8/16 layout and a boost clock speed of 4.60GHz. We have already tested it on other laptops and we are very satisfied with the performance that it brings. HERE, you can find more information about the CPU, including benchmark scores and reviews of laptops with it.

Razer also gives you three GPUs to pick from, with either the RTX 3060, 3070, or 3080. All of these GPUs are Laptop units and have a TDP of 100W, so they won’t be as powerful as the higher 130W versions, but we are still to test this specific notebook.

The laptop looks very promising, in terms of cooling, utilizing a vapor chamber setup, which goes a long way in reducing the overall thickness of the notebook. Razer also states that the laptop’s battery can last as long as 12 hours, which will be quite the achievement, considering the potent hardware inside.

You get front-firing speakers, with spatial audio support from THX, which is another Razer subsidiary, a backlit keyboard with Anti-ghosting, Razer Chroma support, along with a windows precision touchpad with a glass surface. Overall, this is one powerful and feature-packed machine, which without a doubt be popular amongst the power-hungry consumers, who can appreciate Razer’s sense of style and engineering.
