Huawei announces Honor Magic – specs and price

Huawei added a new premium smartphone to their Honor lineup. Its name is Honor Magic and the design language employed is its most characteristic feature. This smartphone’s profile is only 7.8mm thick and it weighs 145 grams. As far as the rest of the specs are concerned, you get a 5.09-inch AMOLED QHD display which translates into an amazing pixel density of 577ppi. Performance-wise, you are presented with a Kirin 950 mobile CPU manufactured by Huawei which comes with four Cortex-A53 cores and another four Cortex-A72 cores. It is also accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

On the phone’s back you’ll find a dual 12MP camera using a color and a monochrome sensors. The camera has 1.4µm pixel size and f/2.2 aperture but there is no 4K video recording. On the front there is an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture which can detect your eyes thus protecting the information on your phone from prying eyes. Additionally, a fingerprint scanner has been incorporated in this device, too. Hono Magic’s battery is 2900mAh and according to the manufacturer, 10 minutes of charging should ensure 40% of battery and 30 minutes – 90%.

It is the Chinese market that will first welcome the new model, which should start shipping around Christmas. As far as price is concerned, it will be approximately $600.
