NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 – detailed specs sheet
A month has passed throughout which we witnessed a lot of information about the new GPUs by NVIDIA – GeForce GTX 1070 and GTX 1080. During this period we shared with you some facts about the new chips. On May 6th NVIDIA put an end to all speculations and presented the two GPUs, succeeding GeForce GTX 970 and GTX 980.
The new Pascal architecture has increased many times the performance of GeForce GTX 1070 and GeForce GTX 1080, while preserving the standard NVIDIA GPU consumption which is a good sign for the effectiveness of the new technology. In our article we shared that despite the 180 Watts consumption, the GPU needs only a single 8-pin power connector – we were really surprised by this and promised to confirm it once it’s been officially stated. NVIDIA has already announced the official specs, and indeed – the GPU only needs a single 8-pin connector and 500 Watts power supply.
