On the lookout for a big-screen Chromebook? The new Acer 15 and Spin 15 models are the only solutions!

The brand new Acer Chromebook Spin 15 (CP315-1H) and Chromebook 15 (CB315-1H/1HT) models have just entered the market. According to James Lin, General Manager, Commercial & Detachable Notebooks, IT Products Business at Acer, “Acer’s new Chromebooks with large 15-inch Full HD displays are ideal for collaborating on projects for work and school, enjoying streaming media and running the latest apps. Plus, the Acer Chromebook Spin 15 is the company’s first to combine a large 15.6-inch display with a convertible design, so customers can use the device in different modes.”

Acer Chromebook Spin 15 (CP315-1H) is first convertible Chromebook with a large 15.6-inch IPS touchscreen display with Full HD resolution that ensures sharp and crisp visuals. In addition, the 360-degree design allows the device to be rotated a full 360° according to your needs. The Chromebook Spin 15 also boasts a premium look thanks to its unique silky texture and can be taken anywhere since it tips the scale at just 2.1kg (4.63 pounds). Acer also promises up to 13 hours of battery life. 

In addition, the CPU options include a quad-core Intel Pentium N4200, Intel Celeron N3450 processor, or the dual-core Intel Celeron N3350 processor. In terms of memory, you can get 4GB or 8GB LPDDR4 memory and either 32GB or 64GB of onboard eMMC for storage. The connectivity is provided by two USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 ports, two USB 3.0 ports and a microSD card reader.

Acer has also announced a model part of its well-known Chromebook 15 line that offers the same large 15.6-inch Full HD display with long 14-hour battery at an affordable price. The Chromebook 15 comes in both touch (CB315-1HT) and non-touch (CB315-1H) options. In addition, the notebook is powered by the quad-core Intel Pentium N4200, the dual-core Intel Celeron N3350, or quad-core Intel Celeron N3450 CPU. It also relies on up to 8MB dual-channel LPDDR4 memory and 64GB of onboard eMMC storage. The connectivity options here include two USB 3.1 Type-C ports and two USB 3.0 ports.

Both models come with Android app support via Google Play Store.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 15 (CP315-1H) will have a starting price of $449, while the Acer Chromebook 15 (CB315-1H/1HT) is expected to retail at $349.
