De fabrikant beschrijft dat de Latitude 15 5540 is gebouwd voor "maximale prestaties en schaalbaarheid". Op papier is dat mogelijk dankzij de snelle 13e generatie Intel Raptor Lake CPU's, de fatsoenlijke koeling, het geheugen dat in dual-channel modus kan werken (als er twee geheugenmodules zijn geïnstalleerd) en de batterij die ExpressCharge ondersteunt.Er is zelfs een dGPU-optie en dat is de NVIDIA GeForce MX550.
