1. Design and build quality
While the design of the laptop is nothing impressive, it does its job at providing a durable exterior that can withstand the abuse that children will for sure put it through. The plastic shell is protected by rubber corners which act as a bumper and will protect the laptop from drops. The whole laptop feels solid, due to its small size and rather thick profile of 20.9 mm. It is also heavy when considering its dimensions, stopping the scales at 1.31 kg.
Opening the lid is a two-hand procedure, but it reveals a display with a glossy finish, thick bezels, and sharp corners. Going down to the base, we get a decent keyboard with long key travel and clicky feedback. The touchpad is average but will do a fine job.
2. Display
The display that this laptop comes with is as far away from professional standards as possible but will do a fantastic job in the realm of education. The unit has an 11.6-inch diagonal, a 1366x786p resolution, and uses an IPS panel. The display offers comfortable viewing angles, around 250 nits of brightness, and a contrast ratio of 1340:1. Furthermore, the display has great brightness uniformity, with a deviation of just 5%. While the color coverage sits at only 57% of the sRGB gamut, this is a laptop for school, so it doesn’t really matter. What matters, is that the panel uses no PWM or Blue light, so it is safe to use for prolonged periods of time.
In terms of color accuracy, the display got a dE value of 4.0 with the factory settings (left) and 3.2 with our Design and Gaming profile applied (right). Here are the results:

3. Battery life
The 42Wh battery pack would usually get drained quite quickly in a normal laptop, but with the power-efficient hardware that we have here, it manages to deliver 16 hours and 11 minutes of Web browsing, and 14 hours and 17 minutes of video playback. Now, we conduct the battery tests with Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits, and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with.
4. I/O
The I/O has a decent port selection, considering its small size, with the laptop having a total of two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, a single USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 1) port, an HDMI connector, a MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. On the sides, we also have the power button and a volume rocker, along with a Stylus Pen inside its own housing.

1. Upgradeability
