The latest Apple OS, macOS High Sierra comes on September 25

At its event two days ago Apple didn’t mention anything but on its OS page, they announced that macOS High Sierra will be available on September 25 as a free update.

First announced at WWDC, macOS High Sierra brings some significant improvements. Maybe the most notable one is that the operating system will now use a brand new file system called Apple File System (AFS). It is based on a 64-bit architecture and takes advantage of the fast performance of SSDs. 

What’s more, macOS High Sierra offers native support for a new video codec – HEVC, which compresses video up to 40% more efficiently. In addition, the operating system comes with a new graphics API called Metal 2, and applications such as Photos and Safari will get many new features to improve their performance and usability.
