Dell G15 5530 review – nog steeds een beetje zwaarlijvig, maar heeft een goede koeling
Hoewel het genoeg kennis heeft van zijn Alienware merk, staat Dell erop om zijn G-serie gaming notebooks op zijn eigen manier te maken. Met compromissen en minstens één ding dat absoluut nergens op slaat.
De afgelopen paar jaar was dat het gewicht. In een wereld waar gaming laptops steeds lichter en dunner worden, maakt Dell machines die in minder dan 15 minuten een schoudertraining simuleren.
Toch kan dit allemaal een reden hebben, want we hebben gemerkt dat de fabrikant zijn G15 5530 heeft uitgerust met een 140W RTX 4050. Nogmaals, de RTX 4000 GPU-serie staat bekend om zijn neiging om niet te draaien op de opgegeven TGP, dus dat zou een interessante waarde zijn om naar te kijken.
Daarnaast heeft Dell gekozen voor een HX-serie processor van Intel. Die kunnen vaak meer dan 150 W aan, wat nog een reden is om de zwaargewichten te laten voor wat ze zijn. Voorlopig althans.
Overigens duikt de Dell G15 langzaam in de oceaan van premium gaming notebooks. Je kunt hem nu vinden met een 360Hz 1080p paneel, en zelfs een 240Hz 1440p. Natuurlijk zijn er ook twee minder dure opties, namelijk 1080p schermen met respectievelijk 120Hz en 165Hz verversingsfrequenties. Het zijn allemaal IPS apparaten.
Laten we dit monster uit de doos halen (die er overigens vrij standaard uitziet) en kijken wat je erbij krijgt.

Wat zit er in de doos?
Het was nogal verrassend voor ons om te ontdekken dat de verplichte papieren handleidingen gepaard gaan met een enorme 330W lader – zelfs bij het RTX 4050 model.

Hi. Are you sure this one has no PWM ( 0 PWM ); because Notebookcheck mentioned it has 21620 Hz PWM flicker at all times. Can you kindly confirm the same before i purchase. Thanks.

The Display here is a LG, the one in the Notebookcheck review is from AUO. Sadly, we as a consumer have no way to tell Dell which display we want. But the meassured frequency in tthe notebookcheck review is quite high so it should not affect the user.

Hola por allá… como ya viste el cargador es masivo y si es pesado, por lo que necesito ayuda para ver si podría haber en el mercado alguno otro cargador compatible de menores proporciones, sin perder tanto capacidad.

I recently bought a 5530 with an RTX 4060. It will not run 3840×2160 HDR 60Hz thru the HDMI 2.1 port. I turned off the Intel UHD GPU in the bios. Despite that, this resolution runs thru the USB-C DP 1.4 port via the Intel GPU. My desktop, 8930 Dell, with the RTX 2060 will also do it. My Sony STR-DH790 AVR, Vizio M658-1 and cables should be fine, not the problem. The last Tech support I received from a supervisor blamed my Vizio. What is wrong with HDMI 2.1?
