HP Omen 17 (2023, 17-ck2000) review – hij is best goed, maar kan niet tippen aan zijn directe concurrenten

Max CPU-belasting
In deze test gebruiken we 100% op de CPU-kernen en controleren we hun frequenties en chip temperatuur. De eerste kolom toont de reactie van een computer op een korte belasting (2-10 seconden), de tweede kolom simuleert een serieuze taak (tussen 15 en 30 seconden), en de derde kolom is een goede indicator van hoe goed de laptop is voor lange belastingen zoals video rendering.

Dit apparaat draait zijn Core i7-13700HX bij een erg lage temperatuur. Dit is behoorlijk goed, maar het bereidt ons niet voor op wat hierna komt.

Zoals je kunt zien is de Omen 17 de slechtst presterende notebook die we op dit moment hebben getest met de RTX 4080. Het feit dat hij nog steeds in staat is om de 175W TGP limiet te halen is echter prijzenswaardig. Toch doet hij dat met een frequentie die ongeveer 150MHz lager ligt en een temperatuur die 8°C hoger ligt dan die van de Legion Pro 7.
Gaming comfort
Op het gebied van geluid is de notebook niet erg comfortabel. De ventilatoren zijn erg luid tijdens het gamen. Aan de andere kant wordt het toetsenbord niet warmer dan 42°C.
Batterij
Nu voeren we de batterijtests uit met de Windows Better performance instelling ingeschakeld, de schermhelderheid ingesteld op 120 nits en alle andere programma’s uitgeschakeld behalve het programma waarmee we de notebook testen. De 83Wh batterij van dit apparaat is goed voor 4 uur en 45 minuten surfen op het web, of 5 uur en 15 minuten video afspelen.

I bought this laptop and I’m disappointed for the price I paid. I instantly upgraded the ram, but my research said gen 13 i7 only supports up to 4800 ram. I9 will do 5200 and maybe higher. But what I’m most disappointed at is the bios has almost no features. I’m not talking about overclocking. At boot, if you hit ESC and wait for the bios text, then his win+A, you can get into advanced bios, which is just the ability to view ram timing. You can under clock the ram. Yeah, the BIOS on most laptops are a joke, but this one takes it to a whole new level. The most barebones I have ever seen. They have this laptop locked down hard.
It has TWO BIOS screens, the very basic testing one & the advanced one, two totally different ways to get into them. The OMEN software is needed to tweek setting for power saving & performance, however, HP Omen softwar is SPYWARE & illegally ‘phones home’ all your private & gaming data, scans your games and the tries to shep their game sales on you. You can block OMEN spying to HP by altering the HOSTS File & blocking HP from your LANs at the router firewall level. ok, is there anything factual to say that this laptop is well below the competition ? Overheating and noisy in what condition ?
Boken in under 3 months. Won’t power up. HP Trash, I picked them over Asus & never again.HP, I’m out $2k
