Hi George, thank you so much for this review! Finally! I’ve been searching for months online for a review of the N751 and yours is the actual 1st real review. The other ones on the internet are just quick glimpses. This is really helpful as I’ve been wanting to know more about this, especially the JM model, which i think is the highest configuration. I got the exact same issue with getting the JM model in Europe as you have over there in the States. The JM model seems to be a perfect multimedia machine with an IPS display, Intel HM87 and a GTX860 with DDR5 and is not pretending to be a ROG like the G771… Have you found a retailer where to get it from?
Hello Nige, feels like Asus is going to release the JM model last since it’s the best configuration for power users. I haven’t seen it available anywhere else, but maybe Thailand or Brazil has it. I recall on youtube, there was a reviewer who showed he got the 15 inch, 551 JM model. Short answer, no, Haven’t found a retailer yet. Asus North America site only shows the 551JQ model available, which has a GTX 845 GPU. My guess is when the other models are available, we might only know about it on Asus North America Twitter site. Hi JJ, thanks for your reply… I think you’re right with the Nvidia 900 series, but honestly that makes me more kind of frightened that the JM wouldn’t be rolled out to the rest of the world at all… Since there is coming the Intel Broadwell chips they maybe stop the release and prefer a complete new approach based on the 900 and Intel’s Broadwell (or even Skylake in this segment).
