[FPS Benchmarks] DOOM Eternal on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (40W and 50W) – the 50W GPU wins but the smaller sibling performs well too

DOOM Eternal is the latest installment of this series. The title uses the id Tech 7 engine and at least for us, the game looks fantastic. The weapons, the surrounding world, the monsters – everything is detailed. Besides that, just like DOOM (2016), this id Software game is well-optimized and a hefty amount of iGPUs can run this game at least on Low settings.

And after we are still talking about video cards, the not-so-expensive GPUs are the best compromise between price and performance. There is no doubt that a notebook with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super will “destroy” this game, but as you can see a bit down below, the mid-range GPUs can do the job without spending a fortune on a new machine.

As you may already guess, the tested GPUs are the GeForce GTX 1650 [40W, 896 CUDA, GDDR6] and the GeForce GTX 1650 [50W, 1024 CUDA, GDDR5].

    Verdict

We can spot decent results regarding both graphics cards. DOOM Eternal is one of the games that look just fine on Low details and if you need a lot of FPS for Multiplayer, the GeForce GTX 1650 [40W] delivers 96 FPS, while the 50W version is 22% faster.

This difference is maintained on Medium, and if you want to see DOOM Eternal with maximum eye-candy quality with the GeForce GTX 1650, the 50W version is 16% faster compared to the 40W sibling in this situation. Keep in mind sometimes the game is crashing while the Ultra preset is applied because 4GB of video RAM is on the limit for this kind of details.
