Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 8 dual-camera features

The mystery around the dual camera of the latest Samsung’s flagship – Galaxy Note 8, is finally unveiled. The South Korean company revealed all its capabilities on its official site.

And so, the new module, manufactured by Samsung Electro-Mechanics, is as capable as it was rumored to be – it is able to take in more light than a single one and capture brighter shots.

Similarly to the iPhone 7 Plus, Galaxy Note 8’s camera offers options for 3D depth information and boasts features such as refocus, background effect and perspective view. Moreover, the new module boasts 3x optical zoom and high dynamic range, giving it a slight advantage over the 2x optical zoom in iPhone 7 Plus.

KGI’s famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the dual-camera is “the most important upgrade” in Galaxy Note 8, which will be announced on 23 August in New York.
