Samsung “will show what’s new in wearables” on August 30 at IFA

Just because Samsung turned its back on Berlin choosing to announce its latest Galaxy Note 8 in New York a week before the IFA 2017 event, doesn’t mean that the company will have nothing to show at this year’s show. Koh Dong-Jin, the mobile division chief of Samsung, confirmed that a new representative of the Gear family will be presented in the German capital sometime this week and now we have the exact date.

It is August 30, Wednesday, and you will be able to watch the press conference live. The livestream starts at 6 p.m. CET on Samsung Newsroom (news.samsung.com/global), although the Koreans’ official YouTube channel might be a good alternative as well.

In addition to “what’s new in wearables”, which is the event’s slogan on social media, Samsung uses its newsroom to hint at new products which will seamlessly integrate into our everyday life. This suggests that we will be presented with a wider range of devices than just a Gear Sport smartwatch and Gear Fit 2 Pro activity tracker. We are probably talking about televisions, soundbars, Blu-ray players, as well as various home appliances.

Meanwhile, you can check all available Samsung products HERE.
