Watch the announcement of the new Sony Xperia models live (30.08, 07:00 AM ET)

One of the world’s biggest technological shows – IFA 2017, which takes place in Berlin this year, is around the corner but most of the companies decide to announce their new devices a day or two before the official opening. This is the case with the Japanese tech giant Sony. The company’s press conference will be streamed live on the Web and the event will take place on August 31 at 07:00 am ET.

It is expected that Sony will announce at least two new devices – we are talking about the flagship Xperia XZ1 and its smaller sibling Xperia XZ1 Compact. The company might release a third smartphone but for the moment we have no confirmed information.

Due to the fact that the event will present the entire company, not only its mobile division, expect to see many other devices other than smartphones. We are placing our bets on lots of audio equipment but Sony certainly has surprises up its sleeve.
