Acer Aspire 3 (A315-59) review – affordable but slightly impractical
Temperatures and comfort, Battery Life
Max CPU load
In this test we use 100% on the CPU cores, monitoring their frequencies and chip temperature. The first column shows a computer’s reaction to a short load (2-10 seconds), the second column simulates a serious task (between 15 and 30 seconds), and the third column is a good indicator of how good the laptop is for long loads such as video rendering.

Despite the 45W power adapter rating, the laptop has no issue supplying its Intel Core i5-1235U with enough power. Not only does it hit the 45W mark for the first seconds of extreme workload, but it also maintains a 28W power target for long runs.
Comfort during full load
As you can see from the IR image below, the maximum temperature in the middle of the keyboard is pretty reasonable. However, the hottest spot of the entire outer shell of the device is the area around the exhaust grill. This concentrates heat in the bottom part of the display, but we doubt it’s going to be an issue down the line.
Battery
Now, we conduct the battery tests with the Windows Better performance setting turned on, screen brightness adjusted to 120 nits and all other programs turned off except for the one we are testing the notebook with. Here, you are met with a relatively small 43Wh battery pack. It lasts for 7 hours and 24 minutes of Web browsing, or 5 hours and 47 minutes of video playback.
Buenos dias, tardes o noche. Tengo una duda, se puede colocar HDD en el espacio libre? Con un adaptador o esta bloqueada la opcion devido al doble m.2, y tambien si version con la nvidea mx 550 (a315 – 59 514E )usa la misma placa madre.
