If you want to open this laptop, unscrew the 7 captive Phillips-head screws and after that, you can pry the bottom panel starting from one of the upper two corners.
You can have a look at the inside of the bottom plate.
Our laptop has the optional 52.5Wh battery. The base version is a 39.3Wh model. If you want to take out the unit, you have to undo 6 Phillips-head screws and then you can remove the battery. Keep in mind that the connector is built into the unit so you have to wear gloves in order to avoid damage or short-circuiting. The bigger capacity is enough for 11 hours and 7 minutes of Web browsing, or 7 hours and 42 minutes of video playback on a single charge. The result is good.
There are three possible memory configurations. The iGPU-only devices have a SODIMM slot plus soldered memory and you can find them with different RAM generation. The DDR4-based laptops come with 8GB of soldered memory and the RAM slot can handle up to 32GB DDR4-3200MHz stick. The DDR5 models rely on 16GB of soldered LPDDR5x-7500MHz memory and the SODIMM can take up to 16GB DDR5-5600MHz RAM. Due to platform limitations, the soldered RAM works at 4800MHz and the memory stick operates at 5200MHz.
The laptops with discrete graphics lack a SODIMM and can be found with either 16GB or 32GB of soldered LPDDR5x-7500MHz RAM that also works at 4800MHz frequency because of the platform limitations. There is a WWAN slot for optional 4G eSIM functionality. Next to it is placed an M.2 slot compatible with 2280 Gen 4 SSDs. The NVMe is protected by a metal shroud that has a thermal pad on the inside. There is also another preapplied cooling pad on the motherboard beneath the SSD.
The cooling system is simple. It comprises one fan, a heat pipe, one heat sink, and a heat spreader.
