日本Lenovo Yoga 9i (14, Gen 9) review – fast, solid, and beautiful
The Lenovo Yoga 9i (14″, Gen 9) hasn’t changed much on the outside than the previous-gen sibling. That’s fine because you get a well-built eye-catchy 2-in-1 machine that is also thin and light. The new things are hidden below the bonnet. At the time of writing this review, the only CPU option is the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H which is paired with the Intel Arc (8-Cores) iGPU. Since the processor has 16 cores and the integrated solution can give some low-end dGPUs a run for their money, we think that this device is powerful enough even for content creation and light gaming.
The cooling system has two fans which should help in longer CPU loads. You can choose between two touch OLED displays. The base one is a 2.8K (2880×1800) unit while the option model is a 4K (3840×2400) variant. We bought a device with the former since its ppi is enough for a 14″ panel. Normally, most transformers like this one don’t offer great upgradability and the one in front of us isn’t an exception – the only thing you can upgrade is the NVMe. On the bright side, the I/O is as up-to-date as possible with three Type-C ports and you can rely on Wi-Fi 6E + Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity.
The manufacturer states that the notebook has successfully passed 21 MIL-STD-810H military tests. Speaking of certifications, since that’s an Intel Evo Edition device, you can expect snappy performance and good battery life, at least on paper. The notebook isn’t cheap at all but it’s loaded with goodies such as four speakers, a privacy shutter, a 360-degree hinge, a fingerprint reader, a Lenovo Slim Pen, and a self-healing BIOS.
