Samsung announced Galaxy Note 7 – all we need to know (video)

Finally! Samsung announced its latest top model – Galaxy Note 7. During the last couple of weeks a lot of information about this phone leaked, there were new claims almost every day. This is probably why you won’t be much surprised.

Galaxy Note 7 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, which is curved along its two sides. It is QHD, and thanks to its HDR support we can enjoy many more colors and high contrast scenes. Furthermore, you get the refreshed S Pen that offers some improvements such as being able to work under water.

Additionally, apart from the fingerprint scanner, the phone now comes with an iris scanner. This is the first time a Samsung model offers a USB Type-C. It allows you to charge the 3500 mAh battery within shorter periods of time.

The main camera on this phone is 12MP, and it offers a maximum aperture value of f/1.7, OIS, as well as 4K video recording. Also available is a 5MP camera that can be used for selfies.

Depending on your region, Galaxy Note 7 will be offered with a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 mobile CPU. The amount of RAM is 4 GB, and the internal storage – 64 GB.

This smartphone comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow but it will soon get an update to the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.

We must also note it’s water and dust resistant (IP68-certified), which means that it should be okay if it sinks in water even beyond a meter. Additionally, the body of this smartphone is made of metal, and the front and back are covered by a curved Gorilla Glass 5.

Pre-orders start tomorrow, and Galaxy Note 7 will appear on the market on 19th August.
